How it works
From download to your first draft in minutes.
archie installs on your computer, learns from your real website and emails, and then drafts replies you approve. Here is exactly what happens.
Setting up
A short guided setup. Everything it shows is real: your own site, your own messages, never a demo.
-
Tell archie what kind of business you run
Choose online store, service business with a website, or email only. The choice shapes which screens you see, and you can change it later without losing anything.
-
Point it at your website (if you have one)
archie scans your public site for your branding, your FAQ and policy pages and, for stores, your product catalogue. No website? Skip this step and just describe what your business does.
-
Connect your customer-service mailbox
Enter your email address. archie works out your provider and offers a one-click Connect with Microsoft or Connect with Google, or standard IMAP/SMTP settings for other providers.
-
archie learns from your recent emails
It reads your recent replies to understand your tone, and pulls facts about your business into a knowledge base. This takes a few minutes and runs in the background.
-
You review the tone
archie shows you the tone and style guide it drafted from your real replies. Edit anything that doesn't sound like you. Nothing is saved until you approve it.
-
See real drafts
You land on a list of replies archie has already drafted to your own recent customer emails. That is the moment most people decide it works.
Every day after that
-
A customer email arrives
It becomes a ticket. Your rules filter out notifications and spam so only real customer messages reach the queue.
-
archie drafts a reply
It combines your tone, your knowledge base and, for stores, the real order details, and writes a reply the way you would on a good day.
-
You read, edit and send
Approve it as is, or change it. archie never sends anything without your approval. If you change a draft, archie learns from the difference.
-
The rest keeps itself tidy
Orders, refunds, labels and reports for stores; uploaded invoices and estimates, with a running account per customer, for anyone.
What runs where
archie is an installed desktop application, not a website you log into. A hosted service called the Hub does the AI work.
On your computer
- Your encrypted business database
- Dashboards, orders, tickets and the action list
- Your connections to stores, couriers and mailboxes
- Works offline, with no dependency on any external service for these core features
On the archie Hub
- The AI that learns your tone and writes drafts
- Reading uploaded invoices and estimates
- Your tone profile and knowledge base, encrypted and kept separate from every other business
- Required for AI features only. Everything else keeps working without it
The AI is personal to you: it is built from your own site, policies and replies, not a shared generic assistant pointed at your inbox. More in Security & data.
