Windows may show a warning. archie's installer is not yet code-signed, so Windows (SmartScreen, or Smart App Control on some PCs) may say it “can't confirm who published” it. That is expected for an early release. With SmartScreen, choose More info and then Run anyway. If Smart App Control blocks it outright, see the help page. You can compare the SHA-256 above with the file you downloaded to confirm it is genuine.

archie for Mac

macOS may refuse to open it at first. archie is not yet notarised by Apple, so macOS may say it can't verify the app. Open the downloaded disk image, drag archie to Applications, then right-click archie and choose Open (once). See the help page if it still won't open. You can compare the SHA-256 above with the file you downloaded to confirm it is genuine.

What you need

  • Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), or a Mac with Apple silicon (macOS 11 or later)
  • A few hundred MB of free disk space (plus room for your own data)
  • An internet connection for setup and AI features
  • The mailbox your customers write to (Gmail, Outlook, or any IMAP/SMTP provider)
  • Nothing else to install: the extra parts archie needs for invoices and the Outlook browser fallback download by themselves the first time they are used

Other platforms

A Linux version and Intel Macs are not available yet. Tell us if you need one.

Is it really free?

Yes. The free plan is permanent: dashboard, orders, tickets, sender rules, the sandbox and five AI-drafted replies a day. Paid plans add capacity and deeper features. See pricing.

Do I need to uninstall anything to update?

archie does not update itself yet. To update, download the newer version from this page and run it (on a Mac, replace the app in Applications). Your data is kept in your own data folder, separate from the program.

Will it read my whole inbox?

During setup archie reads your recent correspondence to learn your tone and facts about your business. You see what it learned and approve it before anything goes live.
